Short version: this extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. Everything it reads and stores stays on your device (or syncs only through your own Chrome/Google account, which you control).
Feed Cleaner for LinkedIn runs only on www.linkedin.com pages. To
decide whether to hide a post, it reads content already visible to you in the
page: post text, author names, and author profile URLs. It does not read
private messages, account settings, or any page outside linkedin.com.
All settings and lists are stored using Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage API, which lives in your browser profile:
This data is stored via chrome.storage.sync and
chrome.storage.local. sync data is synced across your
own devices by Chrome when you're signed into your Google account — the same
mechanism Chrome uses for your bookmarks and browser settings. It is not sent
to us or to any third party; we have no server and no access to it.
storage — save your settings and lists locally, described above.activeTab / host access to linkedin.com — required to
read and filter the feed on LinkedIn pages you have open. The extension does
not run on, or request access to, any other site.contextMenus — adds the right-click options "Hide this
person's posts" and "Always show this person's posts."If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
